Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Seeklyn (https://seeklyn.com) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We apply the principles of the EU GDPR and California’s CCPA/CPRA to every user, wherever you are. Seeklyn is an independent product built for a global audience, with privacy practices aligned to the EU GDPR and California’s CCPA/CPRA. If the operating entity changes, this page will be updated.

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

  • Your email address — used for magic-link sign-in and alerts.
  • A cookie-based anonymous identifier — used for your session and identity; there are no passwords.
  • The content you submit for analysis — titles, passages, and URLs.
  • Your saved projects and analysis history.
  • Basic usage and diagnostic data — to keep the Service working and improve it.

2. Payment data

Seeklyn does not store card or payment numbers itself. If and when paid billing runs through a third-party payment processor, that processor handles your card data under its own privacy policy.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to provide and operate the Service: to sign you in, run and save your analyses, track citations, send alerts you have opted into, respond to support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the Service.

For users in the EU, EEA, and UK, we process this data to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the Service. We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell it.

4. Cookies

Seeklyn uses an essential first-party cookie for identity and session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy at /cookies for details.

5. Subprocessors and third parties

To run the Service, we share limited data with the following categories of providers:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and Pages.
  • A search / answer-engine data API — used to run citation checks.
  • An email delivery provider — used to send magic-link sign-in and alert emails.
  • Anthropic (optional) — an LLM used for the optional "deep" analysis mode.

6. Legal disclosure

We may disclose data if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Seeklyn, our users, or others.

7. Data retention

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the Service, or until you delete your account. When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize associated personal data, except where we are required to retain it by law.

8. Your rights

You have strong rights over your personal data, and we honor them for every user, wherever you live — for the EU, EEA, and UK under the GDPR, and for California residents under the CCPA/CPRA. We never sell your personal data. Email support@seeklyn.com to make a request; we act on verified requests within the timeframes required by law (generally within 30 days). You can ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your data (the right to erasure).
  • Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.

10. Children

Seeklyn is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@seeklyn.com and we will delete it.

11. International data transfers and residency

Seeklyn serves users worldwide, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses — to keep it protected to GDPR standards.

Enterprise customers with data-sovereignty requirements can choose regional data residency, so their data is stored and processed in a specific region — for example the EU, the United States, or Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. Contact support@seeklyn.com to arrange this.

12. Contact

For any privacy questions or requests, email support@seeklyn.com.
